Former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Nakobe Dean has agreed to a 3-year, $36 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders, per NFL insider Jordan Schultz.
Dean was nothing short of elite on the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense last season. The star linebacker is widely regarded as one of the top blitzing linebackers in the NFL, as Dean was a key contributor throughout all four seasons during his time in Philadelphia. The former Georgia star recorded 55 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles in 2025, as Dean’s time with the Eagles has now come to an end. Dean's 2025 season was limited by injuries and he only appeared in 10 games.
Dean had an outstanding 2024 season where he posted 128 tackles and three tackles as Philadelphia went on to win the Super Bowl. However, Dean suffered a torn patellar tendon in the postseason and was forced out until Week 6 of the 2025 season.
Dean will look to continue to thrive throughout his time on the Raiders’ defense next season. The talented linebacker has proven to succeed on both the collegiate and professional level, as Dean played a critical role in the Dawgs’ 2021 national championship run. The star linebacker drew interest from various teams across the NFL prior to signing with the Raiders, as Dean will now turn his full attention towards his role in Las Vegas next season.
The 5-foot-11, 230-pound linebacker has overcome concerns about his size to make an impact in the NFL. Concerns over Dean's size led to him falling to the third-round of the 2022 NFL draft. Dean leaves several of his former Georgia teammates on the Eagles, but will join his former Georgia teammates cornerback Eric Stokes and linebacker Quay Walker.
Numerous former Georgia stars are expected to continue landing with new teams as free agency progresses, as the Dawgs still have over 10 players available.
