The best we can hope is they hire a VP to run the team, make decisions and he takes a step back. This turd of a family will never sell.

I did a little bit of research. About 78.5% of the Cardinals franchise value comes from national revenue streams shared equally among the league (the league average is around 62% - so such a bigger % coming from shared revenue is an interesting stat). So, ~80% of what the Cardinals make has nothing directly to do with the Cardinals. And then, I think, the remaining ~20% is mostly ticket sales, but 1/3 of "regular" ticket revenue is also split among the league (100% of premium ticket revenue stays with team), along with concessions, in-stadium/local advertising, etc.

So, the vast amount of revenue that Bidwill earns simply comes from owning an NFL team and not at all related to how that team actually performs on the field. Since it's his primary (only?) source of income and the franchise has been in his family since the beginning, it would take a whole heck of a lot for him to give it up.

This - but even then I think MB would fight it HARD. His whole persona is tied up in the Cardinals and NFL.
Without the Cardinals, he would be just another single old billionaire - nothing special

If it hasn't already been mentioned, a scandal or high profile investigation might convince ownership to sell the team.

Having followed these guys for 60+ years I can assure you there are no circumstances that occasion a sale. Bidwill sees it as a homage to his dad and will not sell. The funny part is it just reminds us how bad an owner his dad was.

Never happening so why does anyone still ask the question.
Because we all have a rooting interest in the success of the team, and he and his stupid family have robbed us all of a proper NFL experience by holding our city hostage?

The surest path to future success is no Bidwills involved.

Hard to feel sorry for AZ when he was holding STL hostage before AZ grabbed the franchise. Lie down with dogs; better be prepared to scratch.

It's been too many years of scratching. Haven't we been punished enough?!?

Mike is truly motivated by 2 things:

1. Sponsors and Corporate Buyers (boxes, Casa Rojas, etc)

I know there are a couple of those on this board -- if you cancel, you tell the exec that calls and begs you to renew that unless there are fundamental changes made in the way the football product is produced -- you are out. If enough to it, they will listen.

2. Other NFL owners. I got nothin here, but if the team doesnt pull its weight in terms of contributing to league revenue, then it degrades his standing with fellow owners. That matters to him.
Regarding #2...There are basically two owners that have the most influence on the league, Kraft and Jones, and neither of them gives a crap about the Cardinals or Bidwill.

Not ever happening so get used to it. They can do a better job of hiring people though.

There are worse owners. Mike Brown struck lightning in a bottle and drafted Burrow. It was perfect for them since they has the number one overall pick and he was the best prospect since Luck and turned that franchise around. The Lions have their Arians. The Bears drafted Caleb. Texans with Stroud and the Donkeys with Nix.

To overcome the ineptness from your owners you need that franchise qb. Cards couldve sustained that winning culture if they kept Arians and hired his replacement he recommended. But Bitchwill drove him out of Az. That was our lightning in a bottle. And havent replicated his success since then.

Trade all our stock for a top qb this year or trade for Sheduer. Yeah i said it. Hes auditioning right now.

the NFL has approved private equity firms taking stakes in NFL franchises. I know the Bills and Dolphins have sold stakes

while Mike would still be in charge -- if a PE firm bought a stake, they wouldnt be some silent partner just happy to get a locker room tour.

which is why Mike is unlikely to sell a stake
