North Carolina's coaching search will enter its third week, and it appears as if there is no clear-cut favorite at the moment. The past week hasn't been great in terms of their chances to get a big target, as both Tommy Lloyd and Dusty May have pulled their names out of the running.

So what's next for the Tar Heels? It sounds like they are looking at Chicago Bulls head coach Billy Donovan.

During Sunday's Field of 68 broadcast live from Indianapolis, college basketball insider Jeff Goodman revealed the direction the Tar Heels are reportedly taking. It sounds like they are leaning towards pursuing Donovan.

"North Carolina is now solely focusing its efforts on Billy Donovan," Goodman said. "They're going to go hard after him, per sources. They expect to know more in the next 24 hours."

The Tar Heels and Donovan have been connected since the search began. However, the issue is that the Bulls' season is still going on. Donovan doesn't want to quit on the season and despite reports of him being unhappy, he wants to play it out.

That's not to say he won't be interested.

If North Carolina wants to land Donovan, they can reach out early but will have to wait until April 12th when the Bulls' season is in the books.
