North Carolina has joined the growing list of schools pursuing NaVorro Bowman Jr., according to TarHeel247, and is offering the 2027 five-star guard.
Bowman, a consensus top-15 prospect nationally and the top prospect in California according to 247Sports, already has more than 20 scholarship offers. He said he plans to start taking visits soon after Peach Jam in North Augusta, South Carolina, with Arizona, Texas, Alabama, Illinois and North Carolina among the schools he expects to see.
The Notre Dame High School (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) product has already built an impressive résumé. He earned first-team all-state honors after averaging 22.5 points and five assists per game, and he added nearly 12 points per game while helping Team USA win gold at the Under-17 World Cup.
Bowman has also been one of the EYBL’s top scorers this summer, averaging 20.9 points per game for Team Why Not, which ranks fourth in the 17U league.
He is the son of All-Pro linebacker Navorro Bowman Sr., who spent most of his pro career with the San Francisco 49ers.
