The North Carolina Tar Heels finished the college baseball regular season ranked No. 2 in the major polls after an impressive showing. Although they fell short in claiming another ACC Tournament title, losing to Georgia Tech, the Tar Heels are still playing some really good baseball.
Now, they hope to carry that into the postseason.
On Sunday, it became official as Chapel Hill was officially named a regional site host ahead of Monday's bracket reveal.
They are one of 16 regional sites and are automatically in the NCAA Tournament field. Below is the full list of 16 regional sites:
This will be the third consecutive season the Tar Heels will be hosting a regional. Last season, they won their regional before losing to Arizona in the Super Regional. The full schedule and tournament field will be announced on Monday.
