The Hawaii softball team took an early lead but wound up losing 9-5 to No. 10 UCLA on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Briana Maio-Silva homered for the Rainbow Wahine (16-15), who led 3-1 after two innings.
Jordan Woolery batted 3-for-5 with a homer and five RBIs for the Bruins (30-5). UCLA scored three runs in the third and four in the fourth.
