The Hawaii softball team split a doubleheader against UC Santa Barbara on Saturday in Santa Barbara, Calif.

In the first game, Hannah Pitts scattered seven hits in a complete-game performance as Hawaii won 6-0.

Pitts walked two and struck out three.

Millie Fidge, Jamie McGaughey and Briana Maio-Silva each had two hits for the Rainbow Wahine.

In the second game, UC Santa Barbara took the lead with two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning and went on to win 7-6.

Dani Rauscher batted 4-for-4 and Giselle Mejia went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for the Gauchos (23-17, 13-2 Big West).

Kayara-Leigh Tuiloma and Fidge homered for the Rainbow Wahine (17-17, 9-6).

Hawaii will next host a three-game series against CSU Bakersfield, starting Friday.

Amateur boxers to compete in Palolo

Palolo Boxing Club, in association with USA Boxing, will host Rumble in the Valley X on April 25 at Palolo Gym.

The amateur card will feature fighters from Hawaii, the mainland and Canada. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. and the event starts at 4 p.m. Ringside seats are $40; general admission tickets are $30.
