Carolina's plan to beat us includes "shutting down Larry Fitzgerald."

Man, why didn't any of our other opponents think of that?

I remember a Panthers fan in the stands during the 2008 playoff game, watching in horror as Fitz caught another pass. He was screaming, "That's Larry Fitzgerald! You might want to think about covering him!!"

They can cover Fitz, but they have a few other guys they need to worry about!

Bingo. Focus on Fitz leaves Floyd and Smoke open or even Fells and even DJ. We have too many weapons that they can't cover everyone. This puts the onus on the offensive line. If they do their jobs we can't be beat.

Doesn't Carolina employ scouts? Why does ESPN feel the need to play favorites by helping them out???

In ESPN's defense, none of the other opponents had Josh Norman who is probably the best CB in football this season.

Some did. The problem is that they got torched by Smokey, Floyd, and even JJ Nelson at one point.

LOL at ESPN again. I'm not a native Spanish speaker but I know enough to be dangerous. They had a short blurb in Spanish and they listed Carolina as Las Panteras. Las Panteras is an Argentine women's volleyball team!! It's Los Panteras in the masculine form and it's listed that way on the Carolina official Spanish website... like they don't have any native speakers on ESPN.. lol one more time.

Exactly, and if they were going to cover a teams spanish broadcast team, they should have done Gabriel because he's been around forever, is awesome, and has a much larger spanish speaking audience.

I mean, no disrespect to the huge hispanic population they have in North Carolina, lol but I'm thinking Gabriel and the Cardinals have a bit larger hispanic fanbase, but it's fine. Gotta cover the Panthers as much as humanly possible.

2 seconds of research:

North Carolina: About 8% of the population are hispanic.

Arizona: 30%, over 2 million spanish speakers. Not to mention all the Cards fans in Mexico and New Mexico of which there are tons.

But I totally get why they did a whole story on the Panthers spanish broadcast team. rofl.
