Joe Pyfer recorded the biggest win of his professional career in the UFC Fight Night main event on Saturday, March 28.
Pyfer will likely move up the middleweight division after earning a second-round knockout against former two-time UFC champion Israel Adesanya. The American took advantage of Adesanya in a ground-and-pound situation, forcing the referee to stop the fight.
Pyfer entered the fight ranked 14th in the middleweight division standings. Adesanya was ranked fourth.
The fights on the main card produced several other moments and highlights throughout the night.
Alexa Grasso made quick work of Maycee Barber in the first round.
The former UFC flyweight champion delivered a two-punch combination that dropped Barber before quickly putting her in a chokehold for a brief moment before the referee put an end to the fight.
Michael Chiesa concluded his career on Saturday in his home state of Washington with a weightweight victory over Niko Price in the first round by submission. He left his gloves on the mat in the octagon after the fight.
