UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev is a heavy favorite for his first title defense.
Makhachev (28-1 MMA, 17-1 UFC) claimed the welterweight title by dominating Jack Della Maddalena at UFC 322 this past November. Prior to that, he defended his UFC lightweight title a record four times before opting to vacate it.
Machado Garry (17-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) emerged as No. 1 contender after back-to-back wins over top contender Carlos Prates, and most recently former champion Belal Muhammad at UFC Fight Night 265 this past November.
According to FanDuel, Makhachev is a -390 favorite to beat former Cage Warriors champion Machado Garry, who is a +280 underdog.
