Sophie Cunningham's primary job is playing guard for the Indiana Fever. Her secondary job is podcasting. She added a tertiary job on Saturday.
One of the most-followed players in the WNBA made a cameo as a ring girl at UFC 329, carrying the round card before the co-main event between Paddy Pimblett and Benoît Saint Denis.
The promotion didn't need her much after that, as Pimblett put Saint Denis to sleep via D'Arce choke 52 seconds into the fight. The main event was even more anti-climactic, as Conor McGregor appeared to blow out his knee on an opening kick and had to bow out after one minute and nine seconds.
In total, the main and co-main lasted two minutes and one second, a disastrous ending for a much-hyped night.
Cunningham was in Las Vegas in advance of the Fever's road game against the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday, as part of another eventful season in Indiana. The Fever are currently 13-9, the best record in the Eastern Conference and the fifth-best record overall.
