Amid complaints over transportation for 2026 World Cup matches, Uber has introduced an initiative that offers shuttle rides to fans who are attending the spectacle.

The offer will be available in Boston, Dallas, Miami and New York-New Jersey. However, shuttles to and from the stadium will only be available in Miami (other locations will only provide this opportunity for fans leaving the stadium).

Customers who want to take advantage of the shuttle will need to book a seat in advance, paying a flat-rate fee and then presenting the QR code they get at the boarding point. Fans can even get a slot on the day of the match.

Fees vary based on location. In Boston, Dallas and Miami, the fare costs $45 for a ride, while it is $49 in New York-New Jersey.

Drop-off locations in each city are still being finalized.

If fans are travelling in a large group, Uber Max will give fans access to a 14-seater van in certain locations (Los Angeles, Miami and New York-New Jersey). They are able to book the Max vans for up to eight hours.

During the tournament, Uber will also provide fans access to turn-by-turn directions that will guide them from the airport gates to their pick-up locations, available in all three host nations.

In addition, in cities such as Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver, spectators will have the opportunity to get directions that will help them find pickup spots at their respective stadiums.

Transportation has been a major concern for fans at the 2026 World Cup, which is being hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Most cities have limited parking available while some have drastically increased the price of public transportation. Trains from Manhattan to MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will cost $98, while In Boston, round-trip trains from downtown to Gillette Stadium will cost $80.
