Stage 14 of the Tour de France delivered a short, yet grueling, mountain stage on Saturday, June 18, packing four categorized climbs into just 133.5 kilometers (96.5 miles) and a punishing 3,800 meters (almost 12,500 feet) of elevation gain between Mulhouse and Le Markstein Fellering. The mountain route saw Tadej Pogačar of UAE Team Emirates secure his fourth podium finish of this year’s Tour.

Heavy rain set the tone early, making conditions treacherous as the peloton approached the Grand Ballon, a category 3 ascent. Valentin Paret-Peintre crested the climb first, claiming valuable points, and carried his momentum through the day by also conquering the Col d'Oderen and Ballon d'Alsace.

However, it was Pogačar who made the decisive move, launching a powerful attack in the last 2 kilometers on the final ascent to seize the summit of Col du Haag. The victory earned him 10 crucial points, raising his total to 52 and ensuring he retained the polka dot jersey.

Pogačar went on to secure his fourth stage win of the 2026 Tour, making it four-for-four so far in the mountain stages this year.
