ASU football recruits Jermaine Williams and Brantwon Bowser, both of Maryvale High, are academically ineligible and will play instead at local junior colleges. Heralded defensive end Williams is going to Mesa Community College and cornerback Bowser to Glendale CC.

Both could re-sign with ASU after two years or go elsewhere.

ASU will begin practice on Aug. 4 without three of its 24 signees from the 2006 recruiting class. Wide receiver Angelo Richardson remains paralyzed from injuries suffered in a shooting.

If you're serious...ASU has plenty of talent and depth at DE, with Howard, Caldwell, and Morant all being 4 stars or better out of high school...CB is a ? even though there is plently of depth there...Does that answer your q?

BTW, the Lakers won't win anything with that ball hoggg as their captain...

Icing on the cake recruiting wise... We've got Holmes which greatly upgrades are already improved defensive line. Like I said, if we get Gabe Long to report, great. If not, that's okay, our line will be twice as better anyways.

Depth?? How does a defense rank 117 our of 119 all of a sudden have depth and talent? Talent? Maybe... But depth is a pipedream.
