The LSU Tigers are slowly taking over baseball like they have with football, and there are two young pitchers who look like they could both be superstar-level talents in the MLB.

Kade Anderson and Anthony Eyanson have had amazing starts to their MLB careers, dominating their respective minor league systems. Both received huge news on Wednesday as they were named to the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game's American League roster.

Anderson was taken third overall by the Seattle Mariners in the 2025 MLB draft after his incredible stint with the Tigers. He has been better than anyone could have expected for someone in his first year of professional baseball.

Through 66.2 innings, for Double-AA Arkansas, he has maintained an incredible 1.22 ERA. He's struck out 99 batters and walked just 10. His WHIP is just 0.705. He's about as un-hittable as pitchers get right now. The reason that he was drafted this high is that he was always a pro-ready player, but not this ready.

He would have normally been called up to at least Triple-A, but the Mariners don't usually send their top prospects there because of the pitching conditions. Instead, he'll likely just go straight to MLB. It'll be interesting to see when that is because they already have an overstuffed pitching rotation.

Eyanson has been just as good. It felt like it was absurd that he fell to the third round for the Boston Red Sox, and his production to start his career has proven it. His first 12 starts produced a 1.07 ERA and 0.868 WHIP. He's walked a few more batters than Anderson, but has given up fewer hits. He has climbed from High-A to Double-A and the results are still elite.

Paul Skenes is already at the top of the sport, and now there are two elite up-and-comers. Soon, there could be three of the best pitchers in baseball, all from LSU. This is major recruiting material for Jay Johnson.
