Jo, nice article...your story kind of reminds me of the first time I was playing reporter at a Cards' practice.

A few of the die-hard writers will watch all of practice, like Lee Shappel, Kent Somers, Daren Urban, etc., but most everyone else shows up right before practice ends.

It was a lot of fun. Afterwards, driving away, it hit me how nice it was to actually talk to those guys. And how much I really liked all 3 of them. With people like that, we gotta win.

Not sure she did, but I sent her a PM.

I used to do that fun stuff, and a part of me still kind of misses being up in Flagstaff covering practices in the cool mountain air, with thunderstorms possible every afternoon...
