Tennessee junior pitcher Sage Mardjetko announced she will return to the Lady Vols for the 2027 softball season.

“See you next year Rocky Top,” she announced on Instagram.

The 5-foot-10 right-handed pitcher appeared in 58 games, including 37 starts, from 2025-26 at Tennessee. Mardjetko (28-5) has recorded a 1.79 ERA, 289 strikeouts, 12 complete games and five shutouts.

In 2026, she compiled a 16-3 record, 171 strikeouts and a 1.26 ERA. The right-handed pitcher appeared in 31 contests (21 starts), pitching seven complete games and five shutouts.

As a sophomore for the Lady Vols in 2025, Mardjetko (12-2) made 27 appearances, including 16 starts, in 95.1 innings. She recorded a 2.50 ERA, 118 strikeouts and five complete games.

Mardjetko transferred to Tennessee from South Carolina following the 2024 season.

As a freshman in 2024, she recorded three saves to lead the Gamecocks. Mardjetko (8-9) appeared in 34 games, including 17 starts, recording a 2.85 ERA and a team-high 119 strikeouts over 118.0 innings pitched.

Shea earned 2026 SEC Softball Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors.
