METAIRIE, La. - The New Orleans Saints' grounds superintendent was electrocuted Tuesday when a goal post he was moving hit a power line at the team's training facility in suburban New Orleans.

Tim Fletcher, 42, was married and had a son, team owner Tom Benson said.

Neither the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office nor the Saints would comment on the accident.

Fletcher started working for the Saints in 1999. Benson described Fletcher as enthusiastic and friendly.

"Tim was a terrific employee. ... His personality filled our hallways and offices with laughter and he always made a special effort to make everyone feel like part of the team," Benson said.

TAMPA, Fla. - The infant son of Tampa Bay receiver Joe Jurevicius has died nearly 10 weeks after being born prematurely during the Buccaneers' run to the Super Bowl.

Michael William Jurevicius, born on Jan. 14, died Monday night at a hospital in St. Louis.

The receiver's wife, Meagan, gave birth to the couple's first child five days before the NFC championship game. Jurevicius missed three days of practice following the baby's birth, then flew to Philadelphia to help the Bucs defeat the Eagles 27-10.

Jurevicius' only reception in the conference title game, a 71-yard catch-and-run, set up Tampa Bay's first touchdown.

Jurevicius had four catches for 78 yards in the Super Bowl, including a 33-yarder that led to a TD in Tampa Bay's 48-21 rout of the Oakland Raiders.

"Meagan and I want to thank everyone for their support and wishes during this time. The last few months have been both joyous and difficult for our family," Jurevicius said.

"Michael was very courageous and he enriched our lives for the short time that he was with us. We want to thank all of the doctors and nurses ... for their help and care, and all our fans for their support. Now we just need time to grieve."

The baby also received care at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital and Tampa General Hospital before going to St. Louis Children's Hospital.

"The thoughts and prayers of the entire Buccaneer organization are with Joe and Meagan over the loss of Michael," Bucs general manager Rich McKay said.

Moral: If you're kinda thinking about getting around to doing something...Do it right now.

Unfortunately, Joe's poor kid never even got the chance to even get that far.
