A pair of Los Angeles Dodgers prospects have made it onto the National League roster for the 2026 All-Star Futures Game.
Josue De Paula returns to the same seven-inning showcase where he was named MVP in 2025. There's no doubt De Paula is returning to reclaim his crown, and with the way he's playing, he should be the odds-on favorite.
De Paula is currently the No. 4 prospect in all of baseball. To no surprise, he's the top player in the Dodgers farm system, but is closely followed by Mike Sirota, MLB's No. 11 overall prospect.
Both are currently making names for themselves at Double-A, but De Paula is two years younger than Sirota which some believe give him a leg-up on the outfielder.
The 21-year-old had an extremely brief stint at Double-A last year, one that saw him play in four games and record just 18 at-bats. Shockingly, he didn't record a hit, and reached base just once on a walk.
Here in 2026, things are entirely different. De Paula is slashing .314/.413/.534 and sports an OPS of .947, one that somehow isn't even his career high. That said, his career high was .970 in 2022 when he wasn't anywhere near at the level of competition he is today.
De Paula has stolen 21 bases this year, showing off just how speedy he truly is. Overall, he has 42 career homers and 236 RBIs with 13 home runs and 60 of those RBIs coming here in 2026. If that's not impressive enough, he already has a career high 23 doubles and has walked (49) more times than he's struck out (43).
There's an unreal amount of hype behind De Paula, and rightfully so, but Sirota is right there with him. Sirota, 23, was the team's No. 87 overall draft pick in 2024 and has shattered every expectation thrown his way.
The center fielder has played in his first 34 games at Double-A this season and he made the jump look extremely easy. Sirota sports an OPS of 1.009, which is very similar to the 1.080 he had in his first half of the season when he was still at High-A.
Overall, Sirota has 25 minor-league homers and is two RBIs shy of 100. He may be a boom-or-bust guy, as seen with his 132 strikeouts in 461 at-bats, but that will go down overtime and he's still drawing walks at an extremely high level (117 in his career).
