Twitter reacts to Patriots drafting Ohio State RB TreVeyon Henderson with No. 38 pick

The New England Patriots needed an impact playmaker at the beginning of the second round, and they got one in Ohio State running back TreVeyon Henderson.

Henderson carried the ball 144 times for 1,016 yards and 10 touchdowns for the Buckeyes last season. He was a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2021, a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2023 and a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2024.

Overall, Henderson recorded 590 carries for 3,761 rushing yards and 42 touchdowns. He also proved himself as a reliable receiving back with 77 catches for 853 yards and six touchdowns.

The Patriots needed running back depth, and they were able to get it in Henderson. They now have one of the better running back rooms in the league with Henderson joining the likes of Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson.
