The big question hanging over the Atlanta Falcons between now and the end of August is who will start at quarterback. To hear the organization tell it, the competition between Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr. won't really begin until Penix is 100% cleared for 11-on-11 drills.

However, the nature of NFL competition waits for no one, and Tagovailoa considers the battle to be an ongoing thing whether Penix is taking those reps or not. Here's what he had to say about it when he spoke with the media on Wednesday.

Tua Tagovailoa on QB battle

"I think competition is gonna be there whether it is said or whether it's not said. This is the NFL. You're either coming out there to compete or you're not. I think we've all been in this league for some time to know this isn't something you can walk through. This is something that whether it's in the meeting room, we've all got to take our job serious and whatever capacity we can do it - I look at it all as competition."

Here's the full video of Tagovailoa's 10-minute Q&A session.
