President Donald Trump claimed another victory on the golf course over the weekend by winning both the Senior and Super Senior Club Championships at Trump National Golf Club Bedminster in New Jersey.
In a Truth Social post on Sunday, Aug. 2, Trump said the win came despite having “very little time to practice” because of his responsibilities as president. He attributed his success to what he called natural ability, writing, “It’s called TALENT, and I have it, and they don’t!” He also congratulated the other competitors who participated in the club championships.
In the post, Trump said he shot a two-under-par on the Tom Fazio-designed course and shared a video of what he described as his “winning shot.”
“I won with a score of 70, and am so honored in that, unlike the rest of the field, I’m given very little time to practice, because I’m focused on many other things,” the president, 80, said on Truth Social.
In 2023 and 2024, the president was also crowned the Senior Men Club winner, per the PGA Club Championship.
The president spent the weekend at his Bedminster property, one of several Trump-owned golf clubs where he regularly plays. The course has hosted numerous high-profile events over the years, including professional tournaments and LIV Golf competitions.

Trump’s weekend on the course comes as his golfing habits continue to draw public interest. His latest social media posts reflect his longstanding enthusiasm for the sport, which has remained one of his most visible personal pastimes both during and outside of his time in office.
Trump has long portrayed himself as an accomplished golfer, frequently highlighting his tournament wins at courses that bear his name. His claims have often sparked debate, with critics questioning the legitimacy of some of his victories because they occurred at clubs he owns or operates. Sportswriter Rick Reilly, the author and author of Commander in Cheat, has repeatedly challenged Trump’s golfing record.
“I know this because when I play with him, he goes, ‘You know what I do to win these championships, don’t ya?’ and I go, ‘Please tell me. Give it to me.’ And he goes, ‘Anytime I buy a new course, I play the first round all by myself and then I declare myself the club champion,’ ” Reilly said on his Deadline White House appearance in March 2024. “So that’s what kind of guy this is.”

Others like John Nieporte, director of golf at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., and a former caddie for the president, gave Trump kudos for his golf game. “I’ve seen him win club championships sinking 60 foot putts,” Nieporte said, according to The Times. “I’ve seen him shoot 66 out here on this golf course.”
