UFC CEO Dana White admitted that something’s bugging him about the planned fight set to take place at the White House next month on President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday.

“President Trump just opened the Rose Garden two nights ago, and he invited me to dinner there,” White told the Boardroom Talks podcast earlier this week. “The amount of gnats that were flying around. I’m like, ‘Holy ****.’”

He said he made a call to his production head immediately afterward to talk about the “gnat situation.”

White said the lighting grid used to spotlight the octagon could attract other creepy-crawlies, too, such as moths and “God knows what else” that fighters would then have to deal with.

“These are all the things I think about,” he said. “In your mouth, in your nose, while you’re trying to fight?”

He suggested fans might help the situation.

“Gnats have a hard time in the wind,” he said. “These are all the little details that we have to think about. That’s why I don’t like fighting outside, ever.”

Dana White reveals there's a bug problem at the White House and he doesn't know how to solve it yet:

The event is part of the nation’s 250th anniversary celebration, but will take place specifically on June 14, which is Trump’s birthday. Trump said last year a facility would be built on the South Lawn with room for 25,000 spectators.

NBC News reported that the current plan is to have about 4,000 in attendance at the White House, with up to 85,000 more watching via screens at the Ellipse.
