Turns out NFL star and Ohio native Travis Kelce's visit this week to Cedar Point was as much about business as it was about pleasure.

Fresh from his recent marriage to pop star Taylor Swift, the Kansas City Chief player visited the Six Flags park as part of his business investment with the amusement park chain.

The Cleveland Heights native posted pictures of himself riding the park's signature roller coasters and cryptic message that something big was coming 8.7 − the same as his football jersey number.

Some enthusiasts thought the park might be getting a new football-themed attraction like the Steelers roller coaster at Kennywood Park outside of Pittsburgh.

Instead, Kelce is promoting a limited time sale on season passes to Cedar Point and Kings Island outside of Cincinnati.

The passes, which are being billed as the lowest price of the season, include admission to both parks through the end of the season, including the Halloween festivities and the Winterfest at Kings Island.

The deal is set to end Sept. 7.

"Growing up, our family spent a lot of time at Cedar Point and Kings Island, and these parks have given us some unforgettable memories,” Kelce said in a statement. “From my favorites like Raptor and Millennium Force to The Beast and the famous blue ice cream, I want other families to experience all the same fun we did.”

The move comes as Six Flags rolls out its season passes with some major changes.

Next season will bring more restrictive Fast Lane passes that allow guests to skip to the front of the line at major rides and roller coasters.

Passes from other parks will no longer work at Cedar Point, where the Fast Lane season pass will be more costly with a $1,999 price tag.

And Six Flags is offering monthly memberships at some of its parks like Kings Island in addition to season passes.

The price of a Gold Pass at Cedar Point and Kings Island that includes admission to other Midwest Six Flags parks is on sale for $115. The regular price is $175.
