United are in the running to land RB Leipzig’s highly-rated centre-back Dayot Upamecano, who impressed in the German club’s run to the Champions League semi-finals, and the club could find the move by selling Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira as they are no longer needed at Old Trafford.Chelsea are on the verge of completing the signing of Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal worth a reported £72m, which would take their summer spending well beyond the £200m barrier. The Blues are also keeping an eye on West Ham’s Declan Rice, who remains on their radar. Arsenal meanwhile could land a new midfielder after reaching a breakthrough in their talks to sign Dani Ceballos on loan for a second consecutive season, although it’s understood that Real Madrid will not include an option to buy in the deal.
