How about trading the #6 overall and our sencond round pick, the #37th overall for the Jets 2 first rounders the 13th and 22nd and there second rounder the 53rd over all. The salaries would just about equal out and in my thinking is you can do more with 2 above average 1st rounders then with one great 1st rounder that becuse we are the Cardinals would turn out to be a bust anyway.

Jets wont trade both first round picks. They have said that repetedly and already recieved an offer from Houston to move up to #3 and didnt take it.

It would be s very big stretch

The Jets come calling if, and only if Andre Johnson is still available. The Saints come calling with their 2 #1's if, and only if either Newman or Trufant are available.........one of which will be.

Because of the "give up a Brian Urlacher in exchange for 2 Tommy Knights" phenominon.

bankybruce - Mel Kiper told us yesterday that none of the teams with multiple picks seem too anxious to move up.

I wouldn't go anywhere, especially if I were New England.

Of course you can look at it as giving up a Brian Bozworth for a Randy Moss and a Daunte Culpepper

Or you can take it one step further and it could be giving up a Ryan Leaf for a Tom Brady and Pat Tillman.

Point well taken. The Draft is an inexact science. But what I was driving at is that every draft is different and has differing talent dropoff points and depth at key positions. (sometimes the decline in talent is abrupt at certain points; sometimes it's very gradual over long stretches).

It could be argued that this year, once you get beyond the Top 10 - 12 (somewhere around Kevin Williams) there is a dropoff in talent.

My concern is that, if many peoples' assessment of Suggs (i.e. Kiper's nomination for Rookie of the Year) is correct, we might be passing up a future Pro Bowler at a position where we desperately need help in order to move into an area of the first round where the prospects have somewhat less talent while having even more questions.

I realize that in some drafts, a talent like Napolean Harris winds up dropping into the bottom third of the first round. But you can't guarantee that this will happen. More likely, it would come down to the question of Suggs vs. the tandem of Kelley Washington and Tyler Brayton.

In terms of which would improve our team the most, I'd feel a lot better with Suggs a Cardinal.
