The Oklahoma Sooners had just two players selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, in Danny Stutsman and Billy Bowman Jr. However, OU performed much better at the 2026 NFL Draft, seeing seven players chosen. R Mason Thomas, Febechi Nwaiwu, Gracen Halton, Kendal Daniels, Robert Spears-Jennings, Jaren Kanak, and Deion Burks all got the call, making up the deepest OU draft class of the Brent Venables era.
Oklahoma had a total of 15 players from the 2025 roster that were eligible to be chosen in this year's draft, leaving eight players who did not get drafted. Two of those players, Will Huggins and Major Melson, did not participate in OU's pro day, and did not attempt an NFL career, meaning the Sooners had six undrafted players who could sign with teams as free agents.
Two of those six players, Derek Simmons and Austin Welch, have yet to find a landing spot with an NFL team, but the other four have inked contracts with NFL squads as undrafted free agents. We're tracking where OU's undrafted players have ended up, as despite not being selected in one of the seven rounds, they're still going to do their best to give themselves a shot to make an NFL roster.
Running back Jaydn Ott did not have the senior season in Norman that he thought he would, after transferring in from Cal. Despite arriving with a ton of hype last spring, Ott failed to deliver, gaining only 68 yards on just 21 carries. Now, he heads to Kansas City on an undrafted free agent contract, where he'll again be teaming up with former OU running backs coach DeMarco Murray, who took the same role with the Chiefs this offseason.
Wide receiver Keontez Lewis played at UCLA, Wisconsin, and Southern Illinois before he landed at Oklahoma. Injuries derailed what he could have been in Norman, as he had a promising start to the season as a starter at WR before going down and not playing as much later on. He winds up with the Buccaneers on an undrafted free agent contract, where he'll look to be a dependable weapon if he can make the roster in Tampa Bay.
Defensive lineman Damonic Williams transferred over from TCU, and spent two seasons helping OU establish a very stout defensive line in the SEC. Williams is a run-stuffing specialist, and he was a captain and a leader for the Sooners as a senior. He'll now join the Cardinals on an undrafted free agent contract, where he'll do his best to show what he can do, as he tries to make the roster in Arizona.
Defensive lineman Marvin Jones Jr. went from Georgia to Florida State to Oklahoma in his college career, and he started nine games as a senior for the Sooners in 2025. He was a member of an excellent pass rush for OU last season that was among the very best in the country at sacking opposing quarterbacks. Jones heads to Seattle on an undrafted free agent contract, where he'll look to further bolster the Seahawks' d-line, if he can make the roster.
