The first full recruiting cycle of the Jim Mora and staff era at Colorado State is well underway.

Mora and company signed their first official CSU class in December of 2025, just weeks after he was hired to lead the Rams. Now CSU is working on a more traditional process for the 2027 class, with a bevy of recruits coming to Fort Collins in late spring and early summer for official visits.

Here's a look at the known commits in CSU's 2027 recruiting class.

This will be updated through the recruiting cycle as more commits join.

Blaise Burwell​

  • High school: Edison High School (California)
  • Position: Defensive back
  • Notable: The 6-foot-1, 183-pound Burwell has played both offense and defense at Edison. He had 69 tackles, seven pass breakups, an interception, a fumble recovery, 447 total offensive yards and a touchdown as a junior in 2025. Burwell is rated as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and On3/Rivals. He chose CSU over a number of big offers, including Wisconsin, Arizona, San Diego State, Washington State, Oregon State, Utah State, UNLV and others. Burwell says he will compete in both track and football at CSU.

Nicholas Frazier​

  • High school: Toombs County High School (Georgia)
  • Position: Defensive line
  • Notable: Frazier is listed at 6-foot-5, 260 pounds and chose CSU over reported offers from Syracuse, Coastal Carolina, Florida Atlantic and others.

Todd Nordenson​

  • High school: Palisade High School (Colorado)
  • Position: Offensive and defensive line
  • Notable: Nordenson is listed at 6-foot-7, 250 pounds and was honorable mention all-state as a junior. Defensively, he had 42 tackles and four sacks. He also plays basketball. Nordenson chose CSU over several offers, including Wyoming, Washington State and Oregon State.

Andre Jackson​

  • High school: Vidalia High School (Georgia)
  • Position: Running back/linebacker
  • Notable: Jackson is listed at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds and runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and a 10.6 100-meter dash. He has reported offers from Georgia State, Georgia Southern and Kennesaw State.

Zahron Benford​

  • High school: College Station High School (Texas)
  • Position: Edge
  • Notable: The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Benford racked up big stats as a junior at College Station in 2025. He had 97 tackles, 32 tackles-for-loss and nine sacks. Benford chose CSU over reported offers from North Texas, Tulsa, Missouri State, UTEP and others. He doesn't currently have a star rating from 247Sports but is a three-star from On3 Sports/Rivals.

Lovell Neal​

  • High school: W.T. White High School (Texas)
  • Position: Receiver
  • Notable: The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Neal had 800 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns as a junior in 2025. Neal doesn't have a star rating from recruiting sites at the time of his commitment. He has reported offers from Pitt, Texas State, New Mexico, North Texas and others among 16 total offers.

Sevelino Taliauli​

  • High school: Long Beach Poly (California)
  • Position: Edge
  • Notable: The 6-foot-2, 230-pound Taliauli played the last two seasons at Servite High School in Anaheim and is now at Long Beach Poly. Taliauli had 40 tackles, 16 tackles-for-loss, 6.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 10 games last season as a junior. He's rated as a three-star recruit by 247Sports and chose the Rams over a number of other Pac-12 programs, including Fresno State, Oregon State and San Diego State.

Braylun Huglon​

  • High school: Cavalry Baptist Academy (Louisiana)
  • Position: Receiver
  • Notable: The 5-foot-10 Huglon caught 76 passes for 1,474 yards and 21 touchdowns as a junior. He also played cornerback and returned punts and kickoffs. He has a loaded offer list, including listed offers from Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and other Power 4 programs. Huglon is the top-rated commit thus far in the class per 247Sports, and the three-star recruit is the 14th-best recruit in CSU's modern recruiting history (2001 on) in the 247Sports all-time rankings.

Jeremiah Salvant​

  • High school: Tustin High School (California)
  • Position: Receiver
  • Notable: The 6-foot, 180-pound Salvant has played both sides of the ball but is expected to be a receiver for the Rams. Salvant had 29 catches for 521 yards and six receiving touchdowns last season to go along with 243 rushing yards and two TDs on the ground. He also had two pass breakups and 12 tackles on defense. Salvant has a number of Power 4 and other Pac-12 offers and chose the Rams over North Carolina, Utah, Arizona, Washington State and others. Salvant doesn't have a star rating from 247Sports at the time of his commitment but is a three-star from On3/Rivals.

Marquise Reese​

  • High school: Mountain Vista High School (Colorado)
  • Position: Quarterback
  • Notable: The 6-foot-3 Reese completed 65% of his passes for 3,314 yards, 44 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 2025 as a junior. He also ran for another 464 yards and five touchdowns and was named first-team all-state. He had 300 more yards than second among 5A passers. He had the most passing touchdowns among all players in the state, regardless of classification. Reese has reported offers from Fresno State, Wyoming, North Dakota State, South Dakota and Rhode Island. He doesn't have a star rating from 247Sports at the time of his commitment and is rated as a three-star recruit by On3/Rivals.

Ashton Jones​

  • High school: Bentonville West High School (Arkansas)
  • Position: Safety
  • Notable: The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Jones had 96 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and three kick return touchdowns as a junior in 2025. He's ranked as the No. 2 defensive back in the state by Prep Redzone Arkansas. He doesn't have a rating from 247Sports or On3/Rivals at the time of his commitment. Jones chose the Rams over offers from Texas State, North Texas, Arkansas State, Missouri State, Middle Tennessee and others.

Cade Hudyma​

  • High school: Glasgow High School (Montana)
  • Position: Tight end/defensive end
  • Notable: The 6-foot-6, 250-pound Hudyma comes from small Glasgow, Montana (population of just over 3,000), where he plays three sports. Hudyma stars in shot put, where he broke a school record and won a state title in the spring. He has a reported offer from Montana State and is ranked as a three-star recruit by On3/Rivals.

Will Lynch​

  • High school: Lake Stevens High School (Washington)
  • Position: Offensive line
  • Notable: The 6-foot-4, 260-pound Lynch was the first public commit in CSU's 2027 class. He's been a starter his first three years in high school. He has reported offers from Oregon State, Fresno State, UNLV, San Jose State, Nevada, Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington and others. Lynch is rated as a three-star recruit by both 247Sports and On3/Rivals.
