Torry Holt has waited a long time to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, coming ever so close to reaching Canton a number of times before.
And for the seventh straight year, he’s a finalist for the Hall of Fame, along with 14 others. The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced this year’s 15 finalists, which include Holt, Luke Kuechly, Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Eli Manning and other legends.
In his NFL career, Holt caught 920 passes for 13,382 yards and scored 74 touchdowns. He did most of his damage with the St. Louis Rams, spending 10 of his 11 seasons in the NFL with the franchise.
All-time, he ranks 17th in career receiving yards, 27th in receptions and 10th in receiving yards per game (77.4). He was a first-team All-Pro one time in 2003 and was selected to seven Pro Bowls, including five straight from 2003-2007.
Not to mention, he was named to the 2000s All-Decade Team as one of the best wide receivers of his era.
Few players have waited longer to get into Canton than Holt, being a semifinalist for now the 12th time and a finalist for the seventh time. The 2026 class is a strong one and Holt is among three wide receivers who are finalists; Fitzgerald and Reggie Wayne are the other two.
The Hall of Fame selection committee will narrow down this group of finalists and reveal the 2026 class at the NFL Honors in February.
