The Winter Olympics have come to a close with a thrilling, historical victory by the Team USA men’s hockey team. The 2026 Winter Olympics were filled with breathtaking moments, historical feats, and golden performances.
Team USA was well represented in this Winter Olympics. However, three states stood out the most in this Olympic games.

The top three states were revealed to have captured the most Winter Olympic medals. There was plenty of gold, silver, and bronze performances by many US states.
The top three were:
-Minnesota with 13.
-Missouri with 10.
-California with 9.
Minnesota takes home the most medals among the states in this Winter Olympics. That included 10 golds, one silver, and two bronze performances.
All 10 of Missouri’s were golden performances. California finished with five golds and two each of silver and bronze.

Other states were also represented with Olympic victories including Colorado, Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and many more. Team USA was represented with victories across all regions of the United States.

In total, the United States teams took home 12 gold, 12 silvers, and nine bronze medals for a total of 33. They finished only behind Norway who took home 41 total medals including 18 golds.
The next Winter Olympics will be held in France. There many of these competitors will likely want to repeat their victories or better those victories if they didn’t take home gold.
