Sacks and the Pittsburgh Steelers go hand-in-hand like Ben Roethlisberger owning the Cleveland Browns, and there are 10 defenders who stand among the very best in team history.

Here's a look at the all-time sack leaders in Steelers history, with two active players leading the top 10. (Note: All sacks before 1982 are unofficial, with data provided by Pro Football Reference.)

1. OLB T.J. Watt: 115.0 sacks (2017-present)
2. DT Cameron Heyward: 92.0 sacks (2011-present)
3. OLB James Harrison: 80.5 sacks (2002, 2004-2012, 2014-2017)
4. DE L.C. Greenwood: 78.0 sacks (1969-1981)
5. DT "Mean" Joe Greene: 77.5 sacks (1969-1981)
6. OLB Jason Gildon: 77.0 sacks (1994-2003)
7. OLB Joey Porter: 60.0 sacks (1999-2006)
8. DE Keith Willis: 59.0 sacks (1982-1991)
9. OLB LaMarr Woodley: 57.0 sacks (2007-2013)
10. DE Dwight White: 55.0 sacks (1971-1980)

Watt took the No. 1 spot among the Steelers' all-time sack leaders during Pittsburgh's Week 2 matchup of the 2023 regular season against the Cleveland Browns. He sacked Deshaun Watson in the second quarter of the game to forever etch his name in Steelers history.

This all-time list could look a little different following the 2026 regular season, as outside linebacker Alex Highsmith's 45 sacks are just 10.5 away from overtaking White's spot at No. 10.
