Of thos I'm thinking either Griese or Holcomb.

The comment about a lack of arm strength by Holcomb doesn't scare me because we really don't have speedster recievers that can out run defenses.

Our recievers are posession type guys that would compliment Holcomb's accuracy underneath.

Holcomb can't play 2 games without getting hurt.He makes Chris Chandler look like Cal Ripken.

If you accept SI's take, the cutoff seems to be at #6.

i.e. Griese, Bledsoe, Garcia, Holcombe, Warner and Johnson and then gobbidge.

Check out comment that Johnson might fit most comfortably in AZ. Article also helps clarify issues of remaining arm strength for each player and all that good stuff.

People keep bringing up Johnson's Green connection. Maybe someone can refresh my memory, but Johnson lost his starting job to Cunningham in 1998, and in fact appeared in fewer games than Fiedler. Is it really the selling point that the press keeps saying?

Yes, because of a season ending injury...

So do we bring in one of these guys to play right away and groom our QB of the future that we get in the draft? Cuz if that's the case, I'd spend some $$ on say Rivers if ya wanna groom someone...I don't know just spit ballin here

I read an article that Warner is getting some interest from clubs (none named specifically). Some GMS think his stats sucked, but he had no help (something like 10 WRs were tackled on the 4 yard line or closer). A few broken tackles and his numbers would have been over a 1200 QB rating, so they are checking film to see if the numbers were bad luck or not.

I think the plan would be to let the vet and McCown duke it out for the starting job. My guess is that the vet would win for now, and t would be up to Josh to improve enough to wrest the starting job away from the veteran.

I don't see us making a move to acquire Rivers if McCown is still in the picture. (It doesn't make sense trying to groom 2 guys of similar age). Also - the acquisition of Rivers would involve more than just money. It would also involve players and/or picks that could be better used in other ways.

Nice article.

My favorite line:
But Warner might be interesting on a team with better receivers than the Giants, and there are at least 30 teams that qualify.
:D

Who is the one team that the writer thinks has worse recievers than the Giants???

Oh, my choices... Griese, Johnson, Bledsoe. And no promise of starting job to anyone!!!
