The Toms River All-Stars conclude their special run at the 12u Little League Softball World Series championship in Greenville, North Carolina on Sunday.
Mid-Atlantic region winner New Jersey came up just short of an appearance in the championship, losing a 2-1 heartbreaker to Central representative Kentucky in the semifinal on Saturday. Toms River will now face Florida in the third place game on Sunday morning at 10 a.m.

The Toms River All-Stars face another powerhouse as they try to go out on a high note in Greenville. The Southeast team from Florida was beaten twice by North Carolina, which will face Kentucky in the final in the afternoon. But aside from those two losses, Florida beat opponents 34-0 in three wins. Regardless, New Jersey manager Neal Gay acknowledged that this game was an opportunity to rotate girls and an opportunity to make sure everyone on the team got some shine on the national broadcast. Expect multiple pitchers aside from standout Jaelyn Brown and plenty of defensive changes throughout the game.
