At least on our forum. A lot of people here where in full meh mode about the possibility of signing Jordan Matthews and then he signs with the Patriots. Troy Niklas signs with the Pats, and some want to all of sudden give him the benefit of the doubt when him actually staying on the field is always in doubt. Hell, the Pats allowed us to get Chandler Jones and they accept Cooper as part of the package. The Pat's Jimmy G is now in San Francisco and so far looks like a possible long term answer to their franchise

This post is in jest but really, Tom Brady has to be the greatest QB to ever played because he makes players, a coach and a front office look like they actually know what they are doing

Yeah on the NFL draft podcast with Kiper and McShay they were talking about how any other GM would of been fired for drafting so poorly but Brady makes all the warts go away that's how great he is.

The patriots don't really have a great front office they just have the greatest player in the history of the game and that was by pure dumb luck in the 6th round

The draft to an extent is luck because one does the best they can to correlate the college game and the athlete as a Pro which is daunting no matter the surface inclination of the prospect. We selected David Johnson by some chance when our first choice was not there. Still, we do deserve full credit because we did have Johnson rank favorably to see him worth a pick and acted when others did not. The same applies to Brady but to a lesser extent because he was drafted much later. All this qualification by me is meaningless though, because it still comes down to the tried and true expression used to nausea that it's still "is what it is"... they have Brady and can do no wrong lol
