Will Miami defensive lineman Rueben Bain Jr. end up being selected by the Tennessee Titans with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Given the robust pool of talent at edge rusher in the 2026 draft class, Bain Jr. is not a foregone conclusion to land with the Titans. The New York Jets, as well as the Arizona Cardinals — owners of the No. 2 and the No. 3 overall picks, respectively — also have the potential to impede the Titans’ chances of selecting the 21-year-old with the No. 4 pick.

According to The Ringer’s Todd McShay, the Titans go with Bain Jr. over Texas Tech outside linebacker David Bailey as the better fit for Tennessee’s defense next season.

“With Jermaine Johnson in place as the wide-9 rusher, HC Robert Saleh is looking for a nasty tone setter up front,” McShay said. “Bain provides that physical edge setting with pass rush disruption. If Borgonzi and Saleh can look past the short arms, Bain feels like a perfect fit.”

Bain Jr. recorded 9.5 sacks in 2025. The consensus first-team All-American plays with a level of speed, as well as power that falls in line with how coach Saleh, as well as Titans defensive coordinator Gus Bradley want the team to play in 2026.
