Days after Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald said his team was trying to finalize details for a joint practice with the Tennessee Titans ahead of their Week 2 preseason matchup, news broke of another potential joint session.

On Thursday, multiple social media posts indicated that San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan is working to schedule joint practices with the Titans and the Los Angeles Chargers ahead of the 2026 regular season.

The potential additions of joint practices should not come as a surprise. New Titans head coach Robert Saleh has mentioned them throughout the offseason, and their preseason schedule aligns with organizations he has relationships with from his time in the NFC West.

Even though it appears Tennessee will share practices with at least two opponents, Saleh’s current plan is to have his starters play in all three preseason games, though he has noted that it is tentative and could change.
