Robert Saleh's return to San Francisco for the Tennessee Titans' preseason opener is set to air live on NFL Network.
Week 1 of NFL preseason will see the Titans travel to face the 49ers on Aug. 13 at 8 p.m. CT, one of two Titans preseason showcases set to air nationally. Saleh will be plenty familiar with the opponent, having served as the 49ers’ defensive coordinator last season, his second stint with the team after working in the same role between 2017 and 2020.
He was hired as the Titans' coach in January, replacing Brian Callahan.

Along with Saleh's debut game at the helm, the Titans' final preseason game against the Chicago Bears on Aug. 29 at 5 p.m. CT will air on NFL Network, rounding out a 19-game live slate across three weeks of action.
The Titans’ preseason schedule also includes an August 23 matchup at home against the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks at 7 p.m. CT., set to air locally on Fox.
Last season the Titans went 3-14 led by rookie quarterback and No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Cam Ward. The lack luster campaign earned the Titans the No. 4 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which was used to select Ward a new weapon in the pass game, Ohio State wide receiver Carnell Tate.
Following the three preseason matchups, the Titans will kick off the 2026 NFL season on Sept. 13 against the New York Jets.
