Anthony Edwards didn't start for the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.
He had a very good reason -- albeit quite a silly one.
After the game, Minnesota head coach Chris Finch was asked about Edwards' delayed appearance, and he summed it up like this: "Nature calls, I guess."
And so then reporters had to ask Edwards. He confirmed what they suspected: "I was taking a s---."
Nature calls indeed.
Luckily, it didn't cost the Timberwolves much at all.
They started Mike Conley instead, and they went on to win 124-94 over the Dallas Mavericks.

Edwards came off the bench and played just 23 minutes, not being needed more thanks to the blowout.
Ant scored 17 points on an efficient 7-for-13 shooting, including 2-for-3 from 3-point range. He added four assists.
Minnesota is now 46-29, and the Timberwolves also learned that they can be adaptable at the last minute if needed.
They'd certainly like Edwards to get his pregame routine in order so this doesn't happen again.
But on this night, it wasn't a problem. It was just something to chuckle about after an easy win.
