In advance of the 2026–2027 NBA season, the Minnesota Timberwolves have announced a rebranding of their home court, clothing, and emblem. They posted the update on their X account on Sunday, showing off what they have in store for the fans.
The 1990s, when the Wolves joined the league as an expansion team, served as the inspiration for their new logo. It was also when the franchise drafted a Hall of Fame star, Kevin Garnett. This month, fans may purchase the organization’s new merchandise.
There will be a return to the previous logo with the howling wolf. They’ve also released new association, icon and statement jerseys.
After seeing the new logo, NBA fans couldn’t help but be excited for the Timberwolves. Here are some of what the fans said.

Anthony Edwards’ situation with the Timberwolves has not been the best. Although they’ve been a consistent playoff team over the past five seasons, they have failed to get past the Western Conference finals. In 2024 and 2025, the team made it to back-to-back conference finals.
Unfortunately for the Timberwolves, they lost in both runs. This season, they never got past the second round as they lost to the young San Antonio Spurs.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, Edwards is reportedly not happy with the team’s roster situation. All season long, they did not have a solid floor general, which is one of the reasons they struggled in the regular season.
Edwards had a great 2025-26 season, which was spoiled by the Spurs in the postseason. The Timberwolves may be among the more active clubs ahead of free agency as they work to improve their existing squad.

“Not a fan of the blue unis, particularly too much white trim on the collar. Coulda been way better smh,” another fan commented.
“Going to continue not winning a championship, paying homage to the 90s Kevin Garnett era,” one fan said.
“New Wolves jerseys with pine trees? Bro they finally made uniforms that match how invisible they go in the playoffs Garnett spinning in his retirement. Mid af, change my mind,” someone commented.
“Hate this bum a** team but these all go hard ” a comment read.
“They unlocked the KG era again… now Minnesota got that DAWG DNA back,” one fan commented.

“And so, going forward after this series, the Minnesota Timberwolves’ future is in question somewhat because of what Ant (Anthony Edwards) feels about the roster,” he said.
