Tight Ends

I'm not as knowledgeable as many of you when it comes to the X's and O's of football. Why is it that no matter who the DC is, we can't cover tight ends? Is it philosophy? Scheme? Personnel? It just seems odd that no matter who is coaching, or who is on the field - this doesn't change significantly.

Yep, organizational failure. They've been playing Bucannon out of position all year as a middle linebacker because there are no coverage capable middle linebackers on the roster.

It's a combination of scheme and personnel. When you blitz, you leave certain areas of the field vulnerable and when you get little to no pressure on the QB, like we did for most of tonight, you get wide open receivers. With old, slow players left to cover them, it's spells disaster.
