Couldn't agree more. I'm withholding judgement on a uni change till I see it. But judging by all the other team's recent changes, I'm bracing for something hideous.

Just talked to my friend on the Cardinals...he says he knows nothing of any BIG news tomorrow, but said new uni's will accompany the new stadium.

My guess, they do unveil the new uniforms on Thursday and start selling the merchandise right away, but don't debut uni's on field until 2006...

He first heard about the changes in Mid December. Thats why the Cards and other stores have all the Cards gear marked down. To sell it all during the holidays to reduce inventory.

Oh that is total BS! The experts here said it was because Boldin and Shipp were being traded away! Come on now!

No way will they design new uniforms and show the world this week but not wear them till '06. That is like buying a new car and letting it sit in the garage for a year. They have to be seen on the field to create sales.

I like the logo as is on the helmet but use of black in small amounts as trim colors would be good. I would like to see them develop other Cardinals logos for the sleeves or back of jackets like the Eagles. They have an Eagle flying with a football and just a Eagle head on the sleeves and the wings on the helmet. I would like similar but not the same alternate logos for places other than the helmet. Leave the helmet alone it is tradition.

Don't flame me, but I don't believe this new uniform announcement. The fact that Sports Authority will be getting new jerseys in January? Who's going to be on the jerseys, the unsigned Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald?

At least for the Bengals and Seahawks, an announcement of new uniforms was made in late March and early April with much fanfare. The jerseys were modeled by players and they become available for purchase with the rest of the NFL stock in June/July at NFL Shop, etc. for both pre-made and customized.

I just don't see Reebok producing jerseys in January and the announcement quietly laid on the public. There may be an announcement that the uniforms will be changing -- maybe even some polls to see what the fans like -- but not in 3 days and the uniforms showing up at Sports Authority in January seems out of the norm.

You kidding, what better time than the week before the superbowl to annouce/sell these jerseys. Football is on everyones minds and Cardinals fans are going to be more than interested in it. Plus there isnt going to be really any other NFL news coming out this week. It's a marketing gamble but i could see them doing it.

They just hired one of the top advertising companies in the west, so this could be the first part of an aggressive ad campaign for the Cardinals leading up to the new stadium. Why wait to put out new jerseys? Why not put out Dansby, Dockett, Fitzgerald, Boldin (I'm sorry but he is still under contract), Johnson, Adrian Wilson.... There is a market there
