Nebraska picked up a commitment for the class of 2027 on Sunday afternoon. Three-star safety Brennan Drummond chose the Huskers over Wake Forest, Florida, and Virginia Tech.
Drummond is the 120th overall safety in the 2027 class, and the 40th overall player in his class from the state of Georgia, according to the Rivals Industry Rankings. Drummond has 193 total tackles and two years of recorded statistics according to MaxPreps.
This marks the 20th commitment in the class and the 10th in June. The 2027 recruiting class ranks 18th in the country according to the Rivals Team Rankings.
Drummond could be a player who possesses high upside for this defense moving forward. He has tremendous athleticism and instincts, and could fit nicely in Rob Aurich’s defense.
