So a lot has happened in the last month, at least in terms of Gopher football recruiting.

And by “a lot,” I mean 15 commitments.

So I’ve got some catching up to do. Please bear with me!

After great visit I have decided to commit to Minnesota. Super appreciative for everyone that helped along my journey, and super grateful for all of the coaches and staff at Minnesota.@Coach_Fleck@Callybrian@Minnesota247@GopherFootball@misterCoachZib#RTB#Gopher#SkiUMahpic.twitter.com/jH9mY9YiS4

Scouting Report

Mota is a high-upside offensive tackle prospect with prototypical length and promising movement skills, though he’ll need to add functional strength, refine his pass protection technique, and be more consistent in his pad level and hand placement at the next level. He has the ideal frame and length for an offensive tackle, flashes physicality in the run game, and has demonstrated he can be a road-grading right tackle by overwhelming high school competition at the point of attack when he plays with proper leverage. Once he gets to Minnesota, adding lower-body strength and core power will be essential to his development, as will playing with more consistent pad level and knee bend and cleaning up hand timing and independent hand usage in pass sets.
