Three Florida Gators were named to Baseball America's All-America teams on Friday. Shortstop Brendan Lawson and starting pitcher Aidan King — both true sophomores — along with two-way player redshirt sophomore Caden McDonald all earned Second-Team honors.

It is the fourth All-America designation for King and the third for McDonald, who also were included among the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's and Perfect Game's teams earlier this week. King was named to the First Team by the NCBWA and Second Team by Perfect Game, as well as the American Baseball Coaches Association's Second Team; if he earns recognition from D1Baseball, he will become a unanimous All-American for the 2026 campaign.

McDonald made the Second Team for both the NCBWA and Perfect Game. Baseball America's selection is the first for Brendan Lawson so far in his collegiate career.

King led Florida with eight wins, a 3.21 ERA and a 1.03 WHIP over 97 innings, striking out 92 batters while walking 19 for a 4.84 strikeout-to-walk ratio. He was the first underclassman to be named SEC Pitcher of the Year for the Gators and the fourth in league history.

McDonald entered the starting lineup on April 24 against the Texas A&M Aggies and remained a fixture both in the batting order and the bullpen throughout the remainder of the schedule. He finished the season with a .319/.379/.702 slash line and nine home runs at the plate, while posting a 3.42 ERA and 0.95 WHIP over 20 appearances on the mound.

Lawson spearheaded the Gators' offensive efforts in 2026, leading the team in almost every significant category while starting 51 of his 56 games at shortstop. His OPS (1.210), on-base percentage (.511), slugging (.699), extra-base hits (32), home runs (19), runs scored (68), total bases (130), walks (53) and hit-by-pitches (24) were all team highs for the Orange and Blue.
