The 2026 Summer League California Classic will tip off Friday.
The league will be co-hosted by Golden State and Sacramento through July 6 at Chase Center in San Francisco, California and Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
Three former Tennessee basketball players will play for San Antonio in the Summer League California Classic: Ja'Kobi Gillespie, Zakai Zeigler and Igor Milicic Jr.
Gillespie was selected by San Antonio in the second round of the 2026 NBA draft (No. 42 overall).
He played one season for the Vols and appeared in 37 games (37 starts). Gillespie holds the program's single-season record for steals (79). He also recorded 201 assists, converted 103 three-point attempts and was the first Vol to score 650 points and record 200 assists in a season.
Zeigler played for Tennessee from 2021-25 and helped the Vols advance to the NCAA Tournament Elite Eight from 2024-25. He is the school's all-time assists and steals leader.
Milicic Jr. played at Tennessee during the 2024-25 season after transferring from Charlotte and Virginia.
In his one season at Tennessee, Milicic Jr. appeared in 37 games, including 37 starts. He is tied for fourth in most starts in program history.
