The game was very frustrating to watch. Boy, there was a fine line between what we got today and a victory. Two fumbles forced and a punt muff that took perfect bounces right back to the Jets players. Two INTs right in our hands, dropped. Hill narrowly missing an INT that Moss catches for a TD. Very very frustrating, because a couple of those going our way would've made things very different.

Hey, at least we're not sitting here talking about second and third round picks who can't even get on the field.

Good point. As bad as this loss looked and feels it was a very close game. The Carter and Martin fumbles and the almost Starks pick could have turned the game in a different direction.

That was the ********* playcalling I've ever seen. They didn't come out and play to our strength. Which is obviously the recievers on this team. King can't even see over his own line first of all. He's panicking (happy feet), instead of hanging in there to wait for something or just let em make a play on it. He was pressured some but his arm sucks - he had Fitgerald wide open on a fly and he couldn';t connect. That was the only play where they went for it, early. It almost worked. Then nothing. They stuck with a non- existent running game. Genius! They're coaching like crap. No emotion on the sidelines either - ZILCH EMOTION - whereas Edwards was all over the place!

I won't argue that there was some horrible playcalling but part of the reason was a simple lack of execution. Its difficult to have great plays when our QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn.

You have to give Green time, he inherited a disaster and has made us competitive.

Amen - and I will totally retract any statements I may have made in th past about other winds we could have had with King at QB - he's beyond words horrendous. I look forweard to one of two things - NEVER hearing from This_Guy again . . . or listening to the spin come out of him mouth after this one.

Green certainly HAS improved us and he does know a hell of a lot more about building a team than Mac did. But with Green's good, comes the bad, the moves made for no other reason than Green didn't want to deal with someone.

That's why Kendall is gone, that's why Blake is gone, and to an extent it's why Dex is gone. Green didn't like them, he's in charge, they're gone.

You have to accept with Green he will either bury or get rid of guys who challenge him, or who he thinks will create waves. King wasn't going to go to the media and say I should be starting, Blake would have, Green cut him.

Green will improve this team, there's no question, but you have to expect 2-3 "what the ?" personnel moves again this offseason. I think Shelton gets cut, we've basically removed any trade value he may have had so he'll be cut.

And I still say don't be surprised if Graves is telling us(Because Green doesn't want to be the bad guy) around draft time that Anquan and his agent were simply demanding too much money, we couldn't reach a deal, so we traded him .

And it will be interesting to see what off season moves the Cards make to get a vetran Qb and a WR with blazing speed...........Anquan is not his guy, but Fitz is, so I have to agree with you on which of the two could be traded.

I wish McCown had played the entire second half today.

We were much more competitive in the games he started. Everytime King would pass, I was holding my breath hoping that he did not fumble or throw an INT. That is how little I trust him.

well, 1965, I'm sorry my thoughts aren't up to your standards. but, now that I'm thawed out from the bronco game, I'll add a few more that will be sure to ruffle your feathers:

4. I liked the way Croom finished off his runs--he always delivered a blow. He made a few people miss, but he didn't stand much of a chance much of the time. I'd like to see more of him as the season progresses.

5. Ronnie Mac showed up to play yesterday. I've been on the "start Hayes" wagon, but Mac impressed me by making plays I didn't think he could make.

6. Should be an interesting off-season. It'll take some doing to get a decent QB here in FA, we should be able to add a very good RB at some point. What will the OL look like come September? Odds are it'll barely resemble the one we're fielding now.

7. I have mixed feelings about the booing--one one hand I cringe because we are a "rebuilding" (or more accurately a "building") team and what we need to fan support. On the other, I think it shows that the fans care about the product on the field. Hopefully, those who are booing will stick around to cheer when we get this thing with a head of steam in the right direction. I think we're still turning the corner.

Well even at 4-7 the Cards still have a chance in a horrendous NFC West...not that the Cards even deserve a playoff spoy but if the Rams lose in Green Bay on Monday then they are right where they were 2 weeks ago...Give Josh the rest of the year...

To even dream about this team making the playoffs is not realistic.

JMHO, but lay this loss at the feet of Green. He's the one that came up with the brain storm to start King over Josh.

What a sad display of QBing by King. No fire in the belly of the beast there.

Josh may only pass for 90 yrds per game, BUT we there in every game that Josh started in, and we sure can't say that about King and his two starts (0-2).

Green fired the OL coach, how about firing the OC, for one of the worst called games I've watched in a long time. If you say that the play calling was because of King's abilities, then fire the OC and fire Green for stupidity.

It's sad to say, but IMHO that McGinnis could have done more with this team than Green has.

Josh and King both are not NFL starters. One is bad as the other. Ultimately the Head Coach is responsible for the team. Good ones accept that responsibility. Coach Green will never accept responsibility. It is not in his nature. He seems as lost as we are as what to do and makes statements by firing people who question him. Perhaps he should listen on occasion as his coaches and players may have some advice he might want to incorporate into his plans.

I just watched NFL Primetime and saw King throwing a nice, clean, accurate pick. Both Boomer and Tom Jackson agreed that his WR was wide open and the throw King made is just unacceptable in the NFL

Return McCown to the starting Qb position for the rest of the season, because he kept us winning UGLY

How Green believe that King is a better Qb than Jeff Blake is beyond me

That pass that King threw looked just like the same one intercepted by Barrett and thrown by Josh to end the game. King or McCown will get this team no where.

You think they are going to keep Brees and Rivers on their roster? Thats a hell of a lot of money being spent on one position and QB is the most expensive position.

Since they drafted Rivers and Brees is having a breakout year, they're stuck. More than likely Brees is going to be traded (they'd prefer to trade Rivers now but the salary cap hit would be too great)

I think Brees is a FA. He is a likely candidate for the Pro Bowl. If I am San Diego I trade Rivers who is unproven for another receiver like one of ours. This might be an answer to our QB problem. Rivers gets big $ and is tradeable and one of our receivers gets big $ and is tradeable. I think SD would be crazy to let Brees walk with the way he is playing and the way the team is playing only to put in a rookie QB. We need a QB more than we need a receiver without question. It may not be Rivers but it better be someone and soon or we will have a half empty new stadium.

Let us think about that. Since DG fired his OL Coach and replaced him with a guy who has never coached an OL it might not be hard to find a coach with no experience.

We have no receiver with blazing speed. Certainly not Fitz.
