A few initial thoughts (then I'm running out to Mile high Stadium to see the donleys play the raiders in white-out blizzard conditions!):

1. We need to learn how to win. call it a curse, or whatever. We're used to losing and we have a youg team. We need to learn how to win.

2. I like this D. It's young and will get more consistent.

3. It's more evident than ever to me that we need a QB. King was very josh-like for most of the game (unexciting and no TOs0, then becoame the king we saw last week at the worst possible time.

Our WR are not deep threat WR and are slow so they are rarely open downfield.

Whatever QB throws to them is going to have the same problem.

Putting Josh in this game was just stupid.

i don't know what to say, with our receivers we should be able to light it up, if we just had someone to get them the ball,
now that were 4 and 7 i think we at least have to give navarre a game or at least a half to see what he's got,

Well even at 4-7 the Cards still have a chance in a horrendous NFC West...not that the Cards even deserve a playoff spoy but if the Rams lose in Green Bay on Monday then they are right where they were 2 weeks ago...Give Josh the rest of the year...

JMHO, but lay this loss at the feet of Green. He's the one that came up with the brain storm to start King over Josh.

What a sad display of QBing by King. No fire in the belly of the beast there.

Josh may only pass for 90 yrds per game, BUT we there in every game that Josh started in, and we sure can't say that about King and his two starts (0-2).

Green fired the OL coach, how about firing the OC, for one of the worst called games I've watched in a long time. If you say that the play calling was because of King's abilities, then fire the OC and fire Green for stupidity.

It's sad to say, but IMHO that McGinnis could have done more with this team than Green has.

I know it hurts to lose, but how can you so quickly forget last season?? We were blown out in almost every game in an embarassing way and were joke of the nfl.

I do not think we have the QB that can get the job done on this team. Another problem that goes hand in hand is we do not have a runnng game which allows you to develop a passing game. Like at QB when is the last time we really had a good runner year to year. Probably O.J. Anderson. We keep trying to make do with guys who are other teams backups or older guys like O.J. At Emmitts age did anyone really think he could make it through a full season? Someone mentioned in a post we may end up having to trade one of our good receivers. This would not supprise me at all as how else are we going to come up with a servicable QB and quality RB. Coach Green has got us into this position by drafting a receiver when we were in need of a RB and a QB. Receivers are of no use to a team with no QB and no running game. Call it second guessing or what you want but that is the fact. We have a lot of good receivers, no quality QB and no quality RB. I was supprised to hear the announcers say that Airizona had inquired about Carter when he was released but he chose NY because he thought he would learn more. More likely because he thought he would win. Well the Jets had two starters we managed to let go in Barrett and Kendall. Some are saying is Kendall is the anchor of the line in NY. We could use them both. I do not know or really care who we start at QB as we are not going anywhere with this crew. We might just as well check our our Michigan QB. Can he be any worse? If he is like the other two might as well fire them all Denny. See the Bears picked up Jeff George today. They are trying. The Jets got Carter this year so they are trying. No way is San Diego going to let Brees go so forget him on your wish list for next year. We have fallend down and we cannot get up.

I just watched NFL Primetime and saw King throwing a nice, clean, accurate pick. Both Boomer and Tom Jackson agreed that his WR was wide open and the throw King made is just unacceptable in the NFL

You think they are going to keep Brees and Rivers on their roster? Thats a hell of a lot of money being spent on one position and QB is the most expensive position.

Since they drafted Rivers and Brees is having a breakout year, they're stuck. More than likely Brees is going to be traded (they'd prefer to trade Rivers now but the salary cap hit would be too great)

he didn't, that's the part about Green that people are going to have to learn to accept. For months Vikesfan beat us all over the head with this Green will do anything he can to improve the team, and every move he makes is to improve the teams chances of winning, and a lot of people bought it. Green certainly HAS improved us and he does know a hell of a lot more about building a team than Mac did. But with Green's good, comes the bad, the moves made for no other reason than Green didn't want to deal with someone.

That's why Kendall is gone, that's why Blake is gone, and to an extent it's why Dex is gone. Green didn't like them, he's in charge, they're gone.

Blake was no great QB but give him this WR group and an offensive coach like Green and I gotta believe we'd be better than we are. he'd turn the ball over more than Josh because he will take chances, but he'd have made some plays. King has the same mentality as Blake, just doesn't have the arm to back it up.

You have to accept with Green he will either bury or get rid of guys who challenge him, or who he thinks will create waves. King wasn't going to go to the media and say I should be starting, Blake would have, Green cut him.

Green will improve this team, there's no question, but you have to expect 2-3 "what the ?" personnel moves again this offseason. I think Shelton gets cut, we've basically removed any trade value he may have had so he'll be cut.

And I still say don't be surprised if Graves is telling us(Because Green doesn't want to be the bad guy) around draft time that Anquan and his agent were simply demanding too much money, we couldn't reach a deal, so we traded him .

Well maybe Josh learned not to take DG at his word and decided that he needs to wing the ball more.

I said all along I think Josh thought he was doing what he was asked to do, you know just drive the car and as long as we get there and win all is good etc etc. My guess is that he is like a lot of others and dosen't know when Green is being serious or just blathering on like he does.

I can see this going one of two ways.

Josh will light it up and stay or Josh will turn into a turnover monster over compensating for being benched in the first place due to not taking enough chances.

With the WR we have I am betting on the latter.

That was the ********* playcalling I've ever seen. They didn't come out and play to our strength. Which is obviously the recievers on this team. King can't even see over his own line first of all. He's panicking (happy feet), instead of hanging in there to wait for something or just let em make a play on it. He was pressured some but his arm sucks - he had Fitgerald wide open on a fly and he couldn';t connect. That was the only play where they went for it, early. It almost worked. Then nothing. They stuck with a non- existent running game. Genius! They're coaching like crap. No emotion on the sidelines either - ZILCH EMOTION - whereas Edwards was all over the place!

The game was very frustrating to watch. Boy, there was a fine line between what we got today and a victory. Two fumbles forced and a punt muff that took perfect bounces right back to the Jets players. Two INTs right in our hands, dropped. Hill narrowly missing an INT that Moss catches for a TD. Very very frustrating, because a couple of those going our way would've made things very different.

Hey, at least we're not sitting here talking about second and third round picks who can't even get on the field.
