This Defense

Yes they have 5 games where they gave up 23, 20, 16, 20 and 19. That's 19.6 a game. Consecutive games too. We won 2 of them when we should have won all of them. We actually won the game we conceded 23 with a defensive score too when we were about to lose.

We all said it at the time "That game was winnable".

In my opinion this roster on both sides know Kyler is playing poorly and they have mentally given up on the year.

They also had a game where the offense scored 28 in a win where the D gave up 34. They play as a team and lose as a team.

About the bolded, the offense went down and made it a 3 point game with 3 minutes left and 3 timeouts before the defense gave up a TD in less than 2 minutes of gameplay. They just aren’t good. They were down 20-0 to Vegas before coming back to win it. Had a 17-17 tie before the defense let Philly take the game winning FG, only to have our kicker miss the 43 yarder. And just last week put up 26 in a loss to MN. It’s a team sport and when the defense is near bottom in a lot of statistical categories, it’s safe to say it not just the offense and that their giving up on their QB. They’re just not good

This defense has constantly allowed scores on initial drives and was literally historically bad at early game defense in the first 3 games. The defense is at fault too.

Week 1: opening drive TD

Week 2: opening drive TD(10 minute drive)

Week 3: opening drive FG. Followed by a TD on the rams next drive.

Week 4: FINALLY didn’t allow points on the opponents first possession

Week 5: Opening drive TD

Week 6: we open the game with a FG, only to have the D give up a FG on their opening drive.

Week 7: Opening drive TD

Week 8: Opening drive TD

Week 9: Opening drive FG.

We’re literally playing from behind as soon as our offense gets on the field. That’s a hole
