Georgia Bulldogs basketball guard Jordan Ross plans to enter the transfer portal, per Rivals’ Joe Tipton. Ross was an efficient player during his one season at Georgia despite seeing a decrease in playing time as the season went on. He was dealing with some ankle issues down the stretch, which may have impacted his play. He helped Georgia make the NCAA Tournament.

Ross had spent the first two years of his college career at Saint Mary’s prior to transferring to Georgia in 2025. The guard averaged 6.7 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game last season.

Ross was able to make the most out of his minutes despite seeing a significant decrease in playing time compared to his sophomore year at Saint Mary's. Ross could find a new program soon when the portal opens on Tuesday, April 7. The guard is expected to draw interest from a multitude of teams should he depart from Georgia.

Ross was ranked as the No. 15 point guard and the No. 94 overall player from the class of 2023, per 247Sports. He was ranked as the No. 5 overall player out of Arizona. Ross took a step back in 2025-2026 compared to his production the year prior at Saint Mary’s, but the talented point guard was facing tougher competition in the SEC. Ross will now look for a fresh start elsewhere.

Ross started in 25 games throughout his lone season at Georgia while making 32 total appearances. The former Saint Mary’s star was unable to dominate during his time in Athens.

Ross was one of six Georgia players to average over 20 minutes per game last season. He joins Georgia starters Jeremiah Wilkinson and Somto Cyril in planning to enter the transfer portal.
