The transfer portal losses continue to stack up for coach Mike White and Georgia.
The Bulldogs already lost their leading scorer and one of the top players in the SEC on Monday as Jeremiah Wilkinson revealed his intention to transfer. Now, they have to replace their starting big man, as well.
On Tuesday, On3's Joe Tipton reported that UGA center Somto Cyril also plans to enter the transfer portal. Cyril, a 6-foot-11 sophomore from Nigeria, averaged 9.3 points and 5.4 rebounds this season. He was also named to the SEC All-Defensive Team after averaging 2.2 blocks per game while helping lead Georgia to its second consecutive NCAA tournament berth.
The Bulldogs had a portal-heavy unit this season, and it seems that will likely be the case again next year. In addition to Wilkinson and Cyril, rotational forward Dylan James also announced his plans to transfer this offseason.
